Buffalo wings are spicy, tangy, and irresistibly crispy chicken wings that pack a flavorful punch. These mouthwatering bites are typically coated in a zesty hot sauce, often served with a side of cool ranch or blue cheese dressing for a delicious contrast.

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 500g chicken wings
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt

Buffalo Sauce

  • 25g butter, melted
  • 250ml Frank's Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar

Prepare the Chicken Wings:

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve crispy skin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the paprika, onion granules, garlic granules, black pepper, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt. Mix well.

Coat the Wings:

  1. Add the dry spice mixture to the chicken wings and toss them to ensure even coating.

Air Fry the Wings:

  1. Place the coated chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook the wings in batches.
  2. Cook the wings at 200°C (392°F) for 15-20 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, pause the air fryer and flip the wings to ensure they cook evenly. Continue cooking until they are golden brown and crispy

Prepare the Buffalo Sauce:

  1. While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. You can do this in the microwave or on the stovetop.
  2. Once the butter is melted, whisk in the Frank's Hot Sauce and white wine vinegar until well combined.

Coat the Wings in Buffalo Sauce:

  1. Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl.
  2. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cooked wings and toss them until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
