About this recipe
This indulgent chocolatey french toast stuffed with nutella is made with agege bread (a african loaf like brioche!) is perfect for a sweet tooth's breakfast. Made in less than 20 minutes!
Ingredients
French Toast
2 eggs
150ml whole milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 thick slices of agege bread (normal bread works too!)
a heaped tablespoon of nutella
Cinnamon Sugar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Ingredients
Instructions
- Make a pocket in your thick slices then using a piping bag or teaspoon stuff them nutella, you don't want to overfill them as when melted they will spill out.
- In a separate bowl whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla.
- Dip your bread slices in your egg mixture but not too much as you don't want soggy bread then carefully turn it over.
- Heat 1 tbsp of the vegetable oil and butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
- Lift the slices of the soaked brioche into the frying pan. Fry for 3 mins on each side, until golden and crisp.
- Immediately dip into your cinnamon sugar
- I topped mine with some extra chocolate sauce and enjoy!
