About this recipe

This dish seamlessly combines lean beef mince seasoned to perfection with a tantalizing blend of taco seasoning, kidney beans, barbecue sauce, and a hint of hot sauce.

What sets this bowl apart is its convenience for meal prepping. Ingredients

Taco Mince:

  • 500g 5% Fat Lean Beef Mince
  • 1 sachet taco seasoning
  • 75g drained kidney beans
  • 3 tbsp bbq sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce

Salsa:

  • 3 salad tomatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 red onion, cubed
  • handful parlsey
  • 1/2 lime squeezed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:

  • Lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Guacamole
  • Jalepenos
  • Feta Cheese
  • Tortilla Chips

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lean beef mince and taco seasoning until browned.
  2. Add the taco seasoning, drained kidney beans, bbq sauce, and hot sauce to the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes until heated through.

Make the Salsa:

  1. In a bowl, combine the cubed tomatoes, red onion, chopped parsley, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Prepare the Toppings:

  1. Shred the lettuce, slice the cucumber, crumble the feta cheese, and prepare the jalapenos.

Assemble the Naked Taco Bowl:

  1. Start by placing a generous portion of lettuce and the taco mince at the bottom of the bowl.
  2. Add the salsa on top of the taco mince.

Add Toppings:

  1. Arrange  sliced cucumber, guacamole, jalapenos, and crumbled feta cheese on topthen some tortilla chips and sprinkle them over the bowl for added crunch.

Storage Note:If you're meal prepping, store the taco mince in an airtight container and refrigerate it. Cooked ground beef can be safely stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Ensure that the container is sealed tightly to maintain freshness. If you plan to keep it longer, consider freezing the taco mince for up to 2-3 months. Always reheat thoroughly before consuming.
